Oval rings make the spin cycle a lot smoother and are easier on legs while climbing.
Believe it (or not), but a round chainring doesn't transfer power to your rear wheel as smoothly as an Oval one. 28T oval ring has smallest diameter in dead spot (equivalent of 26T) and biggest in peak power zone (equivalent of 30T).
That means you will go faster with an oval 30T chainring compared to a round one!
With oval rings you do not generate more power, you just go faster by distributing your leg power smarter.
Thing which is confusing most people is you will actually feel that your stroke is more "round" with an Oval shape than with round chainring.
This is something you can't imagine and we can't show on website - you have to try it to believe it.

28T oval ring will suit best someone who uses 28, 30 or 32T chainring currently.
While pedaling, you will feel quite similar effort to the one riding round 30T ring (as the smallest diameter of the oval is that size), but you will gain the speed similar to riding 32/34T chainring.
