The special layering of T700 and T800 carbon fibre sheets gives ROCKYROAD rims a high lateral stiffness, while ensuring a high shock and vibration dampening capacity, combined with extremely low weights.
ROCKY GR 35 rims are paintless. They come out of the mold as a finished product. Compared with the traditional process, there is no need to polish, so the original epoxy resin layer is retained on the surface, so they have a very strong scratch resistance.
Paintless process doesn't need any post-production like painting, water sanding, etc. So it's even more environmental friendly than traditionally made rims. No wastewater emission during the whole process.
ROCKY rims must pass the stringent tests EN 14766 and ED 14781. These tests have been designed to ensure the strength and durability of individual parts as well as of the bicycle as a whole, demanding high quality throughout and consideration of safety aspects from the design stage onwards.

BERD POLYLIGHT
I raggi BERD PolyLight vengono realizzati con un polimero avanzato, in particolare il polietilene con peso molecolare ultra alto (UHMWPE acronimo di Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) ed è accoppiato meccanicamente con una barra in acciaio filettato che si avvita al cerchio tramite un normale nipple in ergal. Dalla parte opposta del raggio un semplice cappio creato tramite impiombatura si innesta nel mozzo.
I vantaggi dei raggi Berd:
- il peso del singolo raggio è di circa 2.5g, nettamente più basso dei già leggerissimi raggi Alpina HyperLite in acciaio, permettendo di risparmiare ben 75 grammi su una coppia di ruote 24/24 raggi.
- il rapporto peso/resistenza è ben 12 volte superiore rispetto a quello di un raggio in acciaio.
- il polimero avanzato utilizzato ha un'elevata capacità di assorbire le vibrazioni trasmesse dal terreno alla ruota. Queste vibrazioni vengono filtrate e smorzate dai raggi fino al 200% in più rispetto ai normali raggi in acciaio. Questo effetto di smorzamento delle vibrazioni rende le ruote assemblate con i raggi BERD PolyLight estremamente comode ma allo stesso tempo molto reattive, perchè non influenzate in maniera significativa dalle vibrazioni del terreno
L'UCI, che regola il ciclismo professionistico, ha approvato l'uso dei raggi BERD PolyLight. Potrai quindi usare i BERD spokes nella gare locali e anche al Tour de France.
Con ogni coppia di ruote vengono forniti 2 raggi e nipples di scorta.

Our wheels are built by hand in house by highly specialized personnel.
The Bikeonline staff uses the best professional tools on the market into each step of the wheelbuilding process. The P&K Lie truing stand is one example, it allows us to check perfect truing through precise decimal comparators (0.1 millimeters accuracy).
We build most of the tools we use, to fit the level of our builds, which require a high accuracy.
The use of different tensiometers as Park Tool, Pillar and DT Swiss allows us to reach the correct tensions of every spokes.
Each wheel is pre-stressed by hand to ensure that nothing has been settling during the early stages of use and that the spoke tension remains constant for a long time even under very high loads.
This product is to be considered produced on request / on order, due to the high customization needed. It is therefore not possible to use the right of withdrawal or the cancellation of an order already confirmed.
