Rim features:
ROCKYROAD 39C DISC Hookless Tubeless Ready
UD carbon, matt finish with shiny decals
Height: 38mm
Width: 25mm
Internal width: 21mm
Weight: 350g
The special layering of the T800 carbon fibre sheets gives ROCKYROAD rims a high lateral stiffness, while ensuring a high shock and vibration dampening capacity, combined with extremely low weights.
Hookless: no bead hook on the internal sidewall, it allows to position the carbon fibres in a continuous manner, without interruptions that would jeopardize the strenght in a part of the rim that's one of the stressed.
WARNING: Hookless rims require the use of Tubeless Ready tires only, with or without tubes. Refer to the instruction manual of the tire manufacturer to verify compatibility with hookless rims.
Asymmetric design: ensures a significant increase of stability and lateral stiffness of the wheel thanks to a more balanced spoke tension between the two sides of the wheel
Tubeless ready: tubeless convertible with specific tape and valves
ROCKYROAD rims must pass the stringent tests EN 14766 and ED 14781. These tests have been designed to ensure the strength and durability of individual parts as well as of the bicycle as a whole, demanding high quality throughout and consideration of safety aspects from the design stage onwards.
ROCKYROAD rims are intended for Road use.
Crash replacement policy: in case of accidental break of a ROCKY rim, not covered by warranty.
Hub features:
DT SWISS 240 EXP SP (Straight Pull) Center Lock
Difficult internal structure and sophisitcated milling-jobs on the outside structure were necessary to finalize these hubs. The hub-body is oversized and at the same time very light. The spoke holes are drilled with 3D angles in order to give the spokes a direction for 3.5 X lacing. We offer various conversion-kits to make the hubs compatible to fit to all major standards.
The hub body is made from forged 7075 T6 material - just a few manufacturers forge the hubshells with this material in order to get the maximum strengh out of the hubshell.
All other hub parts, such as the axles, the freewheel body and the sidecaps are made from 7075 T6 material as well.
The front and the rear axle have a diameter of 17mm at the bearing seats. Weight reductions were realized by removing axle material on the outside structure where it is not needed.
Another feature of our hubs are the anodized axles, which prevent from oxidation and corrosion.

Spoke features:
BERD POLYLIGHT SPOKES
Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) that has 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water. Berd spokes have an improved fatigue life compared to steel and are impervious to the elements.
Berd spokes use 14 gauge threads to connect to standard nipples the same way metal spokes do. Opposite the threads is a loop, which is pulled through the hub hole and secured with a rod. Berd spokes feature a 1.8mm diameter in the mid-span and are 2.5 grams per spoke.
Advantages of BERD PolyLight spokes:
- the weight of 2.5g allows to save almost 70/80 grams compared to the Alpina HyperLite spokes, that are the lightest steel spokes available on the market
- 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel
- Berd spokes also damp vibrations much more effectively than steel spokes. This results in a more comfortable, smoother, ride. Berd spokes provide 200% better vibration damping than metal spokes.
The UCI, which regulates professional cycling, has specifically approved Berd spokes, so you can race Berd spokes from local crits to the Tour de France.

Our wheels are built by hand in house by highly specialized personnel.
The Bikeonline staff uses the best professional tools on the market into each step of the wheelbuilding process. The P&K Lie truing stand is one example, it allows us to check perfect truing through precise decimal comparators (0.1 millimeters accuracy).
We build most of the tools we use, to fit the level of our builds, which require a high accuracy.
The use of different tensiometers as Park Tool, Pillar and DT Swiss allows us to reach the correct tensions of every spokes.
Each wheel is pre-stressed by hand to ensure that nothing has been settling during the early stages of use and that the spoke tension remains constant for a long time even under very high loads
