Our design is optimized for carbon fiber handlebars.
The clamping area is not divided into two plates, both bolts are connected, thus the surface pressure on the handlebar is reduced.
Its body shape and huge handlebar contact patch (24 square centimeters) make it stiffer than heavier stems.
IX2AL stem machined from a solid block of 7075 aluminum with a precision CNC machining process.
Each stem needs nearly two hours of continuous CNC machining as we want the best surface finish even with its round, organic shape.
That shape increases the stiffness-to-weight ratio.
The stem has an integrated faceplate with only 2 locking Ti bolts.
This design gives an impressive shape, great aesthetics and increases the rigidity in the handlebar clamping area.
